i don't get his point....the combine must have a flaregun because they are military and otherwise there would be no way of telling other combine military types where they are? And this flare gun must be shoulder mounted? And it would be combine use only because....?

Right: There is a flare pistol; you can see one of the Metrocops in the barricades vid use it (It probably calls in the gunship we see later).

As for the weird gun in the tunnels vid, it does seem to be some sort of grenade launcher, with at least incendiary grenades...

Why would something so small require a large delivery system. Surely you only need something the size of a Thompson at most. Maybe the gun appears large because gordon is peering down the gun and its right next to his face

The Tunnels Video shows that the FlameFlare guny is a Rifle type weapon for setting people on fire.

The flare gun used in Barricade is pistol sized and is obviously not a weapon.

What's hard to understand about this?
