I'm lazy so I'll just copy and paste from another site.

Live Action Neon Genesis Designs (2003-06-08 00:18:47)

This is a page from the current Japanese Issue of Newtype. The pictures are by a designer at Weta Workshop. Weta is working with ADV and Gainax to produce a live action Evangelion.

even tho I hate anime, I like the look of the graphics, very sweeet
 
I used a grayscale fill of that Asuka concept art on my art/music portfolio webpage and it looks really good =P

And don't forget the special effects should be done by the same guys that did the LotR movie trilogy. Those designs are from a designer at Weta in New Zeland.
