Ok the good old HL vs HL2 poll, How do you think HL2 performed against HL

Its not a chat room... patience...

The only thing I kinda didnt like was the whole lack of an "escape" plot, it was more of an "uprising" plot.
I prefered the disaster plot of HL1, and the actual grounds of black mesa, hl2 took it in a different direction- extremely well, i might add, but if we had hl1 at the same quality as hl2, same gameplay style- gravity gun etc (and i'm NOT saying 'stick the grav gun in hl1) but the hl1 scenario, then i would prefer hl1 over hl2.

that said, hl2 is still the best game around

I think it's kinda of hard to compair the two. you know when the first came out it just blew all of us away and we all have found memoires of it. I love HL2 the game kicks ass no two wasys about it but I would say the first is better But then again hl2 kicks ass so I have no answer for you man sorry lol.

You should. If you got hl2 on steam you'll have it available, so install it and give it a go.. its well worth it- one of the better games around- even with 6+ year age.

all those voting for better story would you be so kind to say what that story actually is? lol as far as i can see the story is non excistant and if you had to come up with something it would be

Dr Breen takes over city and is supported by ppl from zen (benafactors) kill Dr Breen and the world will be better. so plz if im wrong enlighten me

Yeah, I'd deffinetly say HL2 has a better story, or atleased explains it better.

HL2's Story was great. Those that say it sucked simply dont have the patience or the proper investigative technique. The most intrigueing part of the story for me was my relationship with Alyx.
