Hi,
My HL2 runs smooth with 1280x960 or 1280x1024 with all AA and stuff off and the fps is like 85ish. Sometimes when I'm turning around in circles I noticed that in some areas the fps drops to like 42ish. Is this due to the 3d background image? Anyway to disable it like r_3dsky 0? And also, when I'm looking through windows and stuff, the fps will drop to 40. I'm aware of the lags and studders that everyone is talking about. I have that too. My specs are below.

P4 3.2G @ 3.36
1 Gig Kingston PC3200 400FSB Ram
PNY GeForce 6800GT 256mb (16 pipes)
So I'm stumped. I think my computer is quite prepared for what HL2 has to offer.
