Fraps Problem

I got a problem with Fraps. I go into Garrys mod (with fraps) take a video, and exit Gmod. But when I look for the video,(gasp) its not there.
Help? Please?

If it is actually recording you will take a noticeable performance hit when you start it.
Do you notice this?

You have to hit a hotkey to start/stop recording while FRAPS is running; were you aware of this?

I didnt notic a framrate change no, but i did hit the Hotkey.

then something's not working right. bring up the fps display (it's like f10 or something, I can't remember). then hit the record hotkey, if the fps display doesn't turn red there's a problem.
