Future of Gaming: Sony's Super Cell

When was this ever true? When x box and ps2 came out consoles were still no where near pc's. console will never be as fast or as powerfull as pc thats the bottom line. Anyway cool info.
Well maybe faster was the wrong word. I mean't that console games will be better graphically for about a year and then PC games will catch up and overtake them again.

Consoles can never match up to a pc for a few simple reasons.
If a console got all the features a pc had.. well then what makes it diffrent from a pc? Consoles are just pc's that dont support as many things a pc has and is faster for a while..

lol wow lots of people here are pretty biased toward PC's. maybe they just dont want to admit a console might beat out a PC?

Nah back in the day the Xbox owned all, it's just that PC's are upgradeable and consoles are not so upgradeable... Thus while tech advances you can upgrade your PC to beat out consoles.

It's like in military tech research... We are about a decade behind what technology we have discovered but the problem is that it's not really mainstream.

Every time a console comes out, it usually is only challenged by the most high-end PCs but this generation of consoles, it looks like consoles will kick the PC's ass :)

John Carmack though said it was a serious pain in the ass for this Super Cell chip he said in an interview. Can't remember the reason (I think it was like you couldn't borrow resources from other parts of the chip) but meh who knows....

it's all just marketing bs. remember when they released the ps2? they kept on saying that it would become the center of your home entertainment needs. how has it done that?

we'll all be drooling over the ps3 next year, but it won't be long before pc's take over again - it's the same every time the next-gen consoles come out.
