Game Over: Now What?

I'm buying HL2 tomorrow so I haven't even played it yet, but I'm kind of worried. Once I beat the game... then what? Play it again on next hardest difficulty I guess, but what after that? I do not like counterstrike.

What I'm really waiting for is TF2. Anyone know when/if this is planned to be released?

Half-Life 2 mods. There will be a lot of them. I also heard Valve will be throwing small additions to HL2 here and there. Gabe said in "Final Hours of HL2" he'd like to build up on the story of Alyx and Dog.

How long will we have to wait for mods though? You'd think they'd have them ready already for people who beat the game..

Take your time playing the game, by the time you are complete there should probably be an early death-match mod to play around in.

there probably won't be no death match mods for at least a month. more likely months. there will be nothing to do after beating hl2 except beat it again i'm afraid ;(

Finished it this afternoon, but it's so worth playing again. Definitley.

Actually, you know what an interesting idea is? Playing it the first time on the hardest setting.. that would make it take a long time to beat the game, and make you enjoy every inch farther you make it in the game as well..
