Game Problem

Hi,

i play HL2 E2 and i have the following problem:
in chapter 3 after i killed the aint guards, alyx and the vortagon did not follow me. they stay by the plumber.... any ideas why?

How did you kill the AG's? Their scripts aren't firing.

Do you mean they stay at the bottom of the lift? That's where they should be after the Guardian battle.

What his is saying is, after Killing the two Antlion Guardians Alyx and the Vort don't leave the cover of the thumper to congratulate Freemen for "dispatching" the bosses. They just stand there, right?

BTW I ask how you kill them, because in HL2 if you kill the first Antlion Guardian with the harpoon the vorts scripts don't fire either.

@ all: with plumber i mean the thing, which hammers on the ground to make sounds and waves. dont now why i say plumber. i think i was thinking about Dune

yes that is what i mean. i first kill the "white" one than the normal one
i kill both with weapons i dont use barrels or so...

The game should autosave right after you kill the first Guardian then again after the second. Try to reload the newer save to see if the problem is still there (Alyx and the Vorts should run up to you, alyx first), If it does then reload the older save, kill the second Guardian again as see if the bug happens again.

i killed both for several times... always the same
alyx and the vort stand there did not moving
when i played it the first time everything was ok... there were some updates a few days ago, i think there is a bug

Did you go up to them? Also, are there any objects, such as cars, blocking the route they would take to the elevator?

Hi,

still have the problem. I go back a few savegames play the whole fight again the two guards again, clear the way to the elevater.. but alyx and the vort still keep standing and dont follow...

any new ideas, or the mail-adress of the official hl2 episode2 support?
