getting a model from half life 2

i want to import alyx from half life 2, but i dont know how. gcfscape doesnt even work when i try to open up the gcf file. still unable to search threads....dunno if anyone else is getting that problem....cause im pretty sure this question has been asked before.

ah you can just use vtf explorer....it will let you extract pretty much anything....maps....models....materials.

Edit: or mdl decompiler allows you to just browse through the gcf so you can decompile the model you want....
