Gman and Aperture

Really lame theories relating Gman to Aperture:

1- Aperture were the first employers of the Gman, they employed him to deliver the crystal to Black Mesa, knowing it would cause a resonance cascade that would destroy all of Black Mesa, which is their rival, but NOT KNOWING it would ruin them and the entire earth as well.

2- I just know I'm gonna get beat to death with a french breadstick for this, but... what if Aperture created the Gman? I dunno, maybe a guy (possibly Aperture's administrator) fell through a super duper high tech portal that combined the powers of time and space into him, and emerged as Gman?

Let me know what you think. Any other theories linking Gman and Aperture?
Oh, and another thing, what the hell happened to Gman's briefcase?! We don't see it in Episode 2 at all, as well as in Episode 1!

I have a feeling Gman's employers are far more cryptic than that. It seems he and them are from an entirely different part of the universe.

I bet Gman did have a part to play in getting the Borealis where it is and destroying Aperture just like he did Black Mesa.

I give up. I give up, that's enough. You've broken me. Just stop already.

/me sits in the corner and cries

No offense, but both of those are extremely wrong.

I'm fairly sure Aperture have no relation to Gman. Considering they are rival companies it's simply not possible.

I'll be hugely disappointed if G-man stems from anything Earth-based, however fantastical. I hope he is the Earth "branch" representative for a giant intergalactic company. What they do however, is a another matter.

That would be very neat, and very much what I hope as well. I think it may be a very old organization that only recently has perceived the Combine as a threat.

You know when you have gone too far when you make Darkside cry, shame on you and your theories!:frown: Seriously both of them are wrong and enough with these G-man is related to Aperture theories because he's not. Maybe he did something in Aperture like he did in Black Mesa but I highly doubt that he's the admin of Aperture.

Not to add to crappy theories (I've been on the forum 5 minutes and I've already realized everyone's sick of them:P), but I'm pretty sure the G-man isn't human. My understanding is that he's an extraterrestrial being employed by high-powered observers who have great interest in the events happening on Earth (kind of like the Watchers from the Fantastic Four universe, for us comic book nerds). This would explain his odd speech and mannerisms. He simply takes a human form to better communicate with the various people he comes into contact with on Earth.

He has it... This is from EP2...

Funny how we still really don't know any more about the G-man than we did back in 1998. Valve's been slow to develop that particular character.

No, they just haven't revealed any backstory. There is a difference.

A difference that makes no difference is not a difference.

Say you, because you don't know a lot.
Unfortunately it does make a difference, you just have to dig into this forum to get to know stuff.

Nobody on this forum has any 'special knowledge' about the G-man that isn't in the games. The same hokey theories have been going around since 1998.
