God of War 2 confirmed for Playstation 2

Yes, before anyone comes out screaming "OMGZ, teh old!", I KNOW that. This is, in fact, a few weeks old but I though some of you probably didn't know so that's why.

Anyways, the game is coming out for the Playstation 2 and a release date is slated for 2007 I believe.

It sure looks darn amazing.

I liked the first game alot, loved everything except for the 'box'... thought the resulting effects were a bit cheesy. Otherwise, it was great fun

Loved God of War. But hopefully they'll add more monsters instead of just reskinning the same 6 monsters differently for each area like they did in original GOW O boy a minotaur!-next area- What the hell is that! o wait..its just another minotaur....BUT UGLIER!

It was deffinetly "good enough" for a sequal. What im wondering is: How do you make a sequal to that? There were no loose ends whatsoever. And iff they try to pull some BS where you dont play as kratos, so help me.....! Its propably going to be a very weak storyline. ( kratos looses his powers as the god of war and must do some task for the gods or kill somebody to get his powers back) O wait,or maybe Kratos becomes power hungry like Ares and you get to kill all the Gods or maybe you have to stop him Now that I think about it,this could be juicy lol.

This was great news to hear! You have to figure the rumors were true and if anyone knows how to get even more out of the PS2 hardware, its these guys. I have a feeling that Kratos will be appearing on the PS3 as well, but probably not for a while. The story will be the most interesting part of this next one....

It'll probably be a prequel like it was hinted in GOW. Why call it GOW 2? Hell if I know.
