Gold Edition is great!

I find it kind of funny that sending them my credit card number to purchase the gold edition went through without a hitch, but when it began to download CS-Source I got the happy message of "The Steam Servers are too busy to handle your request."

Believe it or not you aren't the only one who is trying to get the game. Of course there are others who are trying to get into the servers.

Heck, the pre-loads have been out for a long time now and I dunno why you didn't bother to get them then.

I had no problems but I still haven't got over the shock of spending £75 on the Gold edition

There's no reason to get an attitude with me. I was merely stating what is happening here. I have indeed preloaded everything I was able to and it still needs to download more. I just don't see why they don't warn of server usage while you're ordering it. It should be pretty simple to run a check on the server to see if it's too busy or not. I mean, it does it when you try to download, so why not during the CC forms?

the reason is the credit servers are seperate from the content servers. You wouldnt want someone to try and hack to find your credit card info would you?
