Gordon was expected...?

This struck me as odd when I was thinking about it. If Gordon has been away for some undetermined amount of time, why was Barney at the train station pretty much expecting you to appear?
Or did I miss something?

He wasn't expecting you. He was working undercover for the resistance and he happened to run across you.

Here's my guess. If you pay attention throughout the game, there are certain TV screens that some rebel members are watching, for about 1-2 seconds you can catch the G-Man on the TV screens, and the people quickly turn the TV off when they notice you are watching them. Perhaps the G-Man has been somehow relaying a message that you will aid them? I'm not too sure, except I don't think Barney was expecting you, he was just on the job and you happened to be there. If anything, the G-Man placed you there so you would meet Barney at the perfect moment. Remember when Barney says, "He was about to board the express to Nova Prospekt!" he sounds surprised and relieved that he caught Gordon before that happened. So, I don't think he was expecting him.

Well i don't want to bring up the stolen build but in the stolen build his convo with you is actually a little longer and he explains how your face isn't registered with the combine system(thats why the alarm went off on you) and he explains to you some other stuff that WAS NOT in the final sadly.
