If i reckon well right now there are only english versions all over the Europe and there will be translations later. Not sure if it's like that in Germany but i think so...

Try and buy an english version from a american/european site. Like amazon.com. I think. Or you can change your steam to english language and download halflife2 buy off steam.

Exit from Steam, and locate your Steam folder.There are two "german" .GCF files. One for HL2 and another one for CS. Rename those two files. Then restart everything and you'll soon have an english version.

blood is not removed in the german version
