Great Game

Hey guys,

I just gotta say this is one of the best games I have ever played, and the best FPS i have ever palyed. I was in Wallmart on the 16th when I saw HL2. My friend was all ways raving about how great the first one was so I dicided to pick it up. First Impression was kinda bad... No instruction book or anything, and
an extremely long (1 hour and a half) install for a game... I even thought about stopping and returning it... But my Fav show came on so while I watched it downloaded. When it finally installed I came into the game with rather low expectations.
For the next 3 hours I was glued to the screen while my dad keeped asking me for a turn on it. The story is exeptional for a FPS and the characters are awsome (G-Man Rocks!) and the enemies are really cool. Im usually not into alien game/movies but this one was special. My Dad went to work for a week and my sister's game broke so I had the Computer all to myself for a week! and the game just keeps getting better, I'm on Anticitizen now.So my score for this game is 9.5/10 (none hype) if only they could fix the sound stutter... O yah and the best graphics ive ever seen on my comp.

O yah and how does the first game compare to this one?
I dont really mind if its out dated. :E

It was after playing HL1 that I knew HL2 would be great. VALVe had created something we had never scene before,. it was more then a game; it was an experience.

It is, however, terribly outdated now. HL2 is so much better that I wouldnt really get my hopes up if I were you.

Welcome to the forums. HL2 has a lot to offer besides just the HL2 gameplay. With CSS (more content coming soon), and the huge mod community following, HL2 is the game that keeps giving.

Definitly try it. HL1 is a great game. I've played through it quite a few times.

I would also have to agree that this is a great game. It is the first single player game that I have finished. Doom3 was fun for a bit but I eventually lost interest. With HL2 I couldn't wait to see what was next. And when it was over I was pissed.

I couldn't finish Doom 3 because I was afraid of having a heart attack...
and the repetive gameplay. But I finished HL2 beacuse the game just kept on getting better and better. By the way I liked the ending alot,
It stayed with the theme.
