Guard killed

reread myself...not Aristoteles...but Socrates...man its been many years since i last read this stuff.

"In the circumstances you describe, I have little sympathy for the protagonist if their choice is crime or a self-resignation to abject poverty. I don't like it when people insinuate that poor people are only poor because they're lazy, but in this situation it's essentially true."

well i was talking about myself...so its okay to say lazy...i am a lazy gitt.

"I think, without drowning the individuality of personalities or minds, we have to hold up some dignity for society. If all that falls apart, then we'd be in a sorry state of affairs."

I must admitt i have begune to wonder the last few years, if by maintaining the status quo, i am benefitting some1 much fatter then I, and if I also should not just strech my hand out and just take that damn cigar.

I agree with RRunner - I'm having a whale of a time.
Seriously though, are you telling us to cease and desist? It just doesn't seem as if the thread is going elsewhere and it did stem from the original post. It's evolved, if you will :)

A Discussion about Iraq and terrorists hardly stems from a security guard being shot.

and "having a whale of a time" in a thread like this is a bit insensitive wouldn't you say.

Of course the terrorism comment was off-topic, but that were nowt t'do wi' me.
I was referring to the philosophical debate RRunner and I were having. I'm enjoying it. It stemmed from the original matter at hand. I really am not revelling in this guy's death - that would be despicable. But at no point do I even hint at that.

Yes yes... no point in arguing, you're just driving it further off topic...

I'm sorry to drive it further off course but are we still being told to stop?

Yeah.. I mean, come on, you even had Plato involved

This is sad. However, some people like it when cops are shot -- makes them powerful and less exposed, I think is the term?

I believe the Robbers should be slowly killed. Slowly. By like, old age. In like, a cage.

Such things will happen in our daily bases in near future, where the world we become an overipeing fruit that is bound to be destroyed one way or another.
