gunships in courtyard

I'm stuck at the courtyard at the end of the santraps. Most hard spots I eventually work through but I'm not even close to shooting down these gunships. I've restarted the last sequence where you run up the steps dozens of times to try to make sure I get hits with the first three RPGs. It looks like I get a solid hit but by the time I run into the courtyard the gunships both appear undamaged and I die like a pig.:x

There are Combine on a tower overlooking that courtyard with a Combine turret. They might be causing you problems. Other than that just stay in cover and engage the gunships when you can.

Yeah I know. I read that. With two of them I can't seem to find any good cover and when I run to the rpg ammo I get blasted.

there's a small alcove at the wall beside the ammo crate which offers excellent cover
use it
