HL2 will probably be top 5 in a few years.

People don't realise the greatness of hl2 and overlook stuff cuse they not too patient...I mean what other game lets you make a dumpster into a space ship? Exactly.

There are far more than 50 ........ just not on the pc (which is a very small and insular part of the gaming industry)

The screenshot of the opera scene in FF6 in that article takes me back years They don't make em like that any more.

Not as small as you think. And regardless, I've played both console/PC and I wouldn't need to take my shoes off to count the number of influential games.

HL2 isn't influential, the engine is. Just my take on it.

I guess it comes down to what we consider 'influential' to be.

For me, titles like Street Fighter 2, Bomberman, Tetris, Pong, Bubble Bobble, Populous, Elite, Operation Wolf etc etc (could literally go on all day) are all influential
