Half Life 2 64 bit support or what?

Does anyone have any news on whether Half Life 2 will support 64 bit processors now that Windows XP 64 is out. FarCry, has somewhat a support of it. Can anyone hook me up with some info?

There's nothing to announce on Half-Life 2 / Steam for x64 systems other than it will eventually have it.

is source not also ment to be upgraded to support multicore CPU's some time soon.
just saying cus i read it in a pc mag some were. whenever Havok get round to recodding there physics engine to support them!
now idea when source will support 64bit, but hopfuly soon!
