Half Life 2, Aftermath - No Release Date says EB GAMES Options

Just Spoke to all of the EB Games in the Toronto area, I know, I should be spending my Saturdays a little more productively, however, I must play this game.

The only real answer I received was from this store:

John there mentioned that it is available to purchase online with a store-bought key. I have not yet confirmed this information. Is this actually the case?
 
Valve hasn't given a specific release date yet, no.

It's not available for purchase at all yet either.
 
i thought it would be downloadable with steam anyways and they wouldnt give stores a release date if valve doesnt have one for it
 
That's because EBGames blows.
 
It's easier to simply search on these forums to find out when it comes out. And the answer is "November".
 
Is 'November' still a realistic release estimate? Or before Xmas at least? Or does no-one really know :(

Valve never said November 17th. They said November.
 
November is a good guess because it's just before the holiday season and the same month the original was released.
 
My guess is December. If it's going to be released this month, we probably would have heard something by now, or we're going to hear something very soon.
 
1. Dont EVER ask any retailers for release dates.
I work at best buy and i know about most release dates before them.
2. EB Games is retarded
3. Gamestop is retarded
4. Valve has not released a date = You will hear it from them 1st
 
I went to EB games yesterday and I looked in there release date book and it said November 16th. :O
 
The only thing sure thing when dealing with Valve and release dates is, "Never trust a Valve release date!"

They've already pushed the Prima game guide back twice, and now Amazon says Dec 20. It'll be here when it's here.
 
If you're talking about Aftermath, it won't be out until next year's spring, or summer for that matter.

And why'd you bump this thread anyway?
