One thing that makes us gamers go back and back again to play the Singleplayer of games if the difficulty. The way that games handle difficulty is ofter very different. My brother and i were having a discussion about games and difficulty, and he made the point that it very cheep when games just let the enemies "cheat" in order to make the game harder. What he meant by this was games where the difference between easy and hard is the ammount of HP the enemies have, or the ammount of damage they do.
Games like Halo did difficulty pretty well, in that instead of JUST making them stronger and do more damage, they made the AI a lot smarter, which is why so many people replay Halo singleplayer and try to beat it level by level on Heroic and Legendary.
My question today is, do you think that Half-Life 2 can give a replayable SP expierence by not only making the game uber, but by making the difficulty settings vary in AI as well as giving them a "helping hand"
