half-life 2 and source video problems

i just bought a new ati x1650 pro 512 mb graphics card and updated the drivers....cheched the game cache and everything and the half-life 2 games and also the source games displays everything weirdly....the maps all messed up and the walls and floors become seethrough...i dont know how to fix it except maybe i should go with nvidia instead of ati......can someone please help me.....the only problem i can think of is maybe i didnt uninstall the integrated graphics card before upgrading but i dont think thats the problem.....i dont even know how to do that

i forgot to mention that my pc came with 2 gb of ram and i added another gb of ram...do you think that could be the problem???? And 1 other thing....im using windows vista ultimate

I think the drivers for your integrated graphics card should be shown on your uninstall list. Look for it in Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, that could very well be the issue.

One thing about Vista, if you get bad performance, try turning off Vsync and see if it helps. It's the only way I can get a decent frame rate in source games with my 7800GT :\

Because if every toss double posted all the time, threads would get very long, untidy, and annoying. Also, why is it so hard to just follow some simple rules? Why fight it? Why question it? Do they think they are special, the rules somehow do not apply to them? Someone (the Admin) has said that's how they want it on THEIR forums that they provide FREE for you to use. Who are you to go against those wishes? Why would it even bother you? Do you have some religious excuse for WANTING people to double post, or NOT using the edit button? Is it really worth you arguing FOR double posting to be allowed?

I personally find it disrespectful to the website owner, and to the mods. It says "I don't care about your rules, the other members, or keeping this place tidy".
