Hi guys!
I got a question and I don't find the answer.
So ok, I have the orange box on my PC. I have Half Life 2, E1 and E2 installed it work well. But I just note that in E1 and Half Life 2, the graphics are not has good as E2. There is not some flashlight dynamic shadows, the fire is ugly, the character textures are not very good even with maximum détails.

I read that with the Gmod we can play half life 2 and E1 with E2 graphics. We can play HL2 and E1 levels in E2 too. And that's what I wanna know : how to we do it? look very interesting but I don't know what to do... Or is there another way to have E2 graphics in other episodes?

Thx for your answer!

Ho and I have another question : in the Half Life 2 font, and in some screens, we can see an M29 H&K, but I never see it. So is there somebody who know where I can find it?

You could copy the Half-Life 2 and Episode One maps into steamapps\<user>\half-life 2 episode 2\ep2\ and run them from the console.
I don't think this will work terribly well though. For example, I don't think you can get past the Vortigaunt who charges your suit in the canals.

Valve did say that they could port it all back, but everyone who believes this is sure that a genuinely 'hard' difficulty setting is just round the corner. Total BS.

The easiest official way is to buy the console versions of the orange box. They updated those. Well, if 'easy' also means 'expensive' for you.

tschumann, can you be more specific? where are the HL2 maps and where do I put it?
In steamapps\<user>\half-life 2 episode 2\ep2\, there is other files after that, so I put those map into wich one?

But no idea about the M29?

All the .bsp files from half-life 2 content.gcf\hl2\maps\ should go in steamapps\<user>\half-life 2 episode 2\ep2\maps\ and all the .bsp files from half-life 2 episode one.gcf\episodic\maps\ should go in steamapps\<user>\half-life 2 episode 2\ep2\maps\
And if this is the M29 you mean, it was cut and replaced with the AR2. You can still see the old one in halflife2.ttf I think, and the combine still use the old reload animations for the AR2.
