I don't mean to sound like a n00b but what is this 'Episosde 2'? Will it come out on x-box?

I hope so cause when I completed Half Life 2 my life fell apart, the ending was so infuriating (good but frustrating), so I need more.

Who is this Gordon Freeman guy anyway, I swear he's only a PhD level physicist?

Half-Life 2: Episode Two will be released as a part of the Orange Box on October 9th for PC, XBox 360, and PS3, along with the original Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode One and the new Team Fortress 2 and Portal.
Episode Two is a continuation of the Half-Life 2 story; it starts more or less where Episode One left off. It's supposed to be about eight hours of gameplay, though it'll include the commentary mode introduced in Lost Coast and continued in Episode One.

Also there is a Half-Life 2: Episode 1 before Episode 2, look it up.

Have you played Half-Life 1?

Yeah but there are large amounts of the story that aint told in game, in the wiki, all aspects are pointed out, just for extra info if people need it.

When I played half life for the first time I got a completely different storyline than the real one. But, i was around 8 at the time.

Me too, and when I was waiting for HL2 release, I was expecting far different game because I didn't look at any trailers or screenshots. I think I watched some Borealis screens, and I was wondering why headcrabs are now so large :D

The HL2 I expected was real different, I didn't even thought of some Combine. I was thinking that we are now clearing earth from Xen fauna, not fighting against some alien force :D

And that those weird masked dudes are to protect people. But when I played HL2 and after that found out stuff about storyline, I got the whole point of the game. But still, some fighting against Xen stuff roaming on streets of real cities were been what I wanted.

But good that there is the Poke646 mod, it is much like what I expected of HL2.

Haven't you heard that all people around in the game call YOU Gordon? YOU play as Gordon Freeman. How in earth could you have missed that? :(

And he is a PHD Physicist. That means he's a Doctor. Therefor, Doctor Freeman

Indeed, and the hl2.net Marc Laidlaw vault helps too. ;)

Oh my goodness, why don't people play HL1 first? I haven't played Halo 1, so why would I play Halo 3?

There is no idea in buying sequel for some game, and not knowing what it is all about.

HL1 is answer for all questions ;D

Because HL1 came out in 1998, and people buy HL2 because the screenshots look cool on the back of the box.

Honestly. Didn't even finish HL1 back in 1999, because I'm not an FPS fan. I only went on to HL2 because HL2 looked like it had a nifty physics engine from previews and so on. Then the story interested me, and I stayed on.

This is today's Life of Narvi special.
