can someone please tell me whats the diffrece in Half-life 2 and half-life 2 game of the year.... chears

IIRC the GOTY edition comes with Half-Life: Source while the original edition didn't.

not 21k are always online, less than half are still active members. Half life source is a slighty (SLIGHTY SLIGHTY) updated version of the original half life, and "are the both multi-palyer if so which is batter??" WHAT THE **** ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? That made absolutely no sense whatsoever

Half-Life: Source is basicly Half-Life 1 ported to the Source engine. It is Half-Life 1 with ragdolls, different lighting effects and pretty water. TBH you're better off with Half-Life 1: There are less bugs and lots of mods for it plus Opposing Force (Half-Life's first expansion pack) won't work with Half-Life: Source.

You get help from members if they decide to help and post, it's not their duty to be at every beckon and call you post. Patience my friend, and you will get your answer eventually. I suppose 1 hour is a long time to wait...

By the way, both HL2 and HL Source are single player games with a storyline to play offline. The multiplayer games consist of Counter Strike Source, Half-life 2 Deathmatch, Day of Defeat Source, The Ship & Garry's mod. (bought as extras I believe, but CS:S and HL2DM come with HL2 still, I think.)

Check steampowered.com for the packages Valve are offering specifically.

CS: Source only comes with the Steam version of the Holiday Package, by the way.

oh... i'v just come accross another one 'Half Life 2 Holiday Collection' and it comes with:

i have made my mind up i will buy 'game of the year edition' a alrounder and play the multi-player online...
