Are there commands that can be used to adjust the gamma or the brightness in the game? I have maximized the brightness on my monitor and I have adjusted the brightness in the game options and still, I can't see the three text messages I'm supposed to see if the brightness level is configured correctly. Thus, I couldn't play Half Life 2 since most of the starting scenes are very dark. I would much appreciate it if anyone could supply me with the console commands to adjust the brightness/gamma levels. I'm dying to play this game... ;( ;( ;(
