Half life 2 out now at a retail store

Hi,
I went to my local target today and walked past the computer section and to my surprise saw about 20 half life 2 sitting out on the shelf,it looked like they had just stocked them because they
had no price tag on them.I almost bought one but im getting it for free from steam but i was tempted to just buy it so i could play early

You cant play early.

Valve has to unlock the registry servers for you to play. and that doesnt happen until the street date.

That won't really stop piracy. Someone will create a crack to get around the online registration thing. It will just stall piracy for a bit.

It might be display copies, you said they had no price tag. At my Eb they had copies of SA and Halo2, and BFME sitting around all the time, but they were hallow..

if you bought an Ati video card with a voucher, you do, in fact, get it with no additional charge.

Although, they did charge $20 or so more bucks for the Voucher cards, than the ones without them.
