Half-Life 2 Problem

I double click Half-Life 2 on the desktop.
It comes up, shows Valve logo, and then a black screen with small sentences on the bottom.
I get to the loading screen
I wait for about 10-20 seconds
I hear 2 error sounds
And I wait and wait and it never loads...

I have a Dell Dimmension 2400
Intel (R) (Something something) Video card
Pentium 4 2.66GHz
384 RAm
DirectX 9.0c

I want play!!! :sniper:

Im getting a ATI Radeon 9600 with christmas money...

It is because of your video card, or lack there of. If it's intel, it's probably on-board.

You're going to need that 9600 to play HL2, I would say. Once you do, you'll be sailing. Although more ram would be a good idea, but is not essential.
