Why do people have to make up their own conclusions?

All the fanboys rave about how great the story and ending is; yet we have sites like this that have to speculate and fabricate.

What does one have to do with the other? It WAS a great story but everyone knows that the ending left some questions to be answered...thats why people discuss and ponder theories on it...

when the story is spoon feeded to the player (or audience in a movie), it doesn't affect the player, and it makes the game (movie) boring. why do all the best movies mainly give clues about the story? because it being open to theories and ideas makes it better.
