Heapsize Quesion (wont change...)

Hey all, when I type in "-heapsize 512000" in the console it says that it doesnt reconize "-heapsize"/ Am I doing something wrong? I want to see if that will fix my sound.

PC Specs

Dell 8300, 3.2 GHz, 1 gig of ram, X800 Pro vivo 16 pipes,

You need to type it in the launch options. Or you can just type "heapsize 512000" in the console without the -

Where do I do that?

Right click HL2 in your games list and click properties.
Then click Launch options
type "-heapsize 512000" without the quotes
