Alright, I just got this new bigass Asus fan for my CPU, and I installed it today with some nice silver thermal paste and everything went fine while i reinstalled windows and all my programs for about 3 hours, then i let it rest for about 4 hours and just came back to it about 10 mins. ago
So, I turn it on, it starts up, gets to Windows and the AsusProbe tells me my CPU is at 98 and steadily rises to 110 before shutting off, now, it had only been running for 1 minute at that point, so i tried it again and opened the case to watch the CPU fan running and felt the air, it was nowhere near 90C, not even 50C, so, I'm guessing it's a mobo problem, my motherboard is an Asus P5AD2 Deluxe, and I upgraded the BIOS just a week or so ago so I could get it working at all, so that shouldn;t be a problem, what could it be that makes it say it's so hot?
