Help.. Downloaded off Steam, it said

Play Now.. it was at 92%, and then it just froze at the blurry loading screen!!! anyone else with this problem.. how do you update on steam.. it says Update Required for HL2????

It's actually continuing to download, from what I've gathered and my experience... right click on the Steam icon and select monitor and you'll see only a ceratin percentage has actually been downloaded. Why, I don't know...
