help urgent .

hello ive looked everywhere and to no joy .. i have a legal copy of the game so its not down to warez .

im running the mod hidden source and was fine last night but just gone to play it and i cannot get online now ..

i try to select find servers and nothing ..

i try to join game with a friend from my friend list and it starts to load and connect then all i get is this

STEAM certificate length error 0/2048

please help ..

exit steam and try again. if it dont work go in the the steam folder and delete clientregisty.blob then restart steam.

Or, try restarting your computer or reinstalling the game. That works for me.

i looked, it didnt have anything about his "error" but then again i didnt spend much time at all looking.

I've searched all over and most of this problem occurs with Warez but presuming you legally bought a HL2 copy I don't know what to say. Maybe something got corrupted when you DLed hidden source. Check their site if they have something useful. Or email a question to the steam personnel there, and be sure to prove to them that you legally bought a copy.
