Help: Water Hazard

I am stuck in Water Hazard at the location where 2 helpers(1 male and 1 female) lift up the door and and ask me to park the airboat. This was just after the physics puzzle involving pushing of washing machine in the basket to lift the bridge.

I don't know what to do after this. I read in a game guide that that alien looking guy will mount the gun on my boat, but he just stands there doing nothing and doesn't respond to use key also. Please help.

The guy should ask you to follow him into his "office", where he'll give you some idea of where to go next. While you do that, the vortigaunt should attatch the gun to your airboat.

maybe if u followed the game properly and did as the friendly characters say then you would advance forward!

Hehe, there was probably some kind of error. Those friendly guys weren't responding as well.

I reloaded from a previous save and it is ok now.
