I find that games have some of the best music (of anything), and Half Life 2 is no exception. The only problem is there's no way to find out what songs they are except by going playing through the game, alt/tabbing to Windows Media Player and finding and filling the info on file... which is exactly what I've done. However, I haven't found or was too enveloped in the game at some points to identify nine song files:
  • HL1_song24
  • HL2_song33
  • HL2_song25_Teleporter
  • HL1_song25_REMIX3
  • HL1_song19
  • HL1_song17
  • HL1_song9
  • HL1_song3
  • HL1_song26
Anyone have a clue?

Ooook.
Now tell me clear and slow, what do you want to do?

Sorry for being all muddled about it. :imu:

Basically, I extracted all the audio files via GCFScape, but they're all senseless titles as they are in their unaltered form. I'm trying to find out where all the songs are called upon by the game so that I can give them a track number and title.

For example, the first song, HL2_intro, plays when G Man is first talking to you. I gave it a track number of "1" and titled it: Point Insertion.

My favorite song, HL2_song16, is queued by the game when you begin the battle for the last block before you go into the Citadel. It's the 35th song in the game (out of all the song's I've found) and I called it "Head for the Horse", as that's what all your squadmates keep telling you.

The aforementioned nine songs are the ones I haven't found queue locations/points/spots for.

Pointless? Yes. Important to me? Yes. :P Perhaps now I can be helped. ;)

The problem with that is I don't know which song is what.

Hazardous Environments = ??

Hazardous Environments = Place where you do x to y right after z

Now that would help me. This can only be done by playing through the game and filling it out as you go. Or by asking you guys (I've already gone through it about three times for this purpose ).

PS: Plus, it's not even in chronological order. By my count, the Ravenholm song is at least number 16.

# HL1_song24
# HL1_song25_REMIX3
# HL1_song19
# HL1_song17
# HL1_song9
# HL1_song3
# HL1_song26

They're all songs from Half-Life - i.e. you'd hear them while playing Half-Life: Source.

Oh, thanks. I s'pose I need only worry about HL2_song33 and HL2_song25_Teleporter now. :P
