In my local game store, where i was standing in line to return my copy of X2:the threat as it bored me tot ears as it is a good game but its also a job!!!

Any way i was swapping the game for UT2003 and unreal 2 box set, when i thought of the forum and asked the attractive young lady behind the desk when HL2 may be released or actually if there had been any news as i knew a release date would be silly, Thus began the giggling from the manager who must now what the answer i was about to receive was, this answer was, in a timid almost unwilling to tell me voice "possibly June or July but its TBA" i was in shock, know i know that they know as little as we do but this was a shock as opnly Xmas last year did the same store say March April, laugh i nearly cried.

Are they there to simply tease us or do they enjoy giving me heart failure each couple of months.

Anyhoo, hope all are well and sit, like me, in quite anticipation of the next HL chapter. :thumbs:

I think you missed the memo.

The official Half-Life 2 release date as stated by Vivendi is TBC 2004.

Valve have hinted at Summer.

Andy, I somehow don't believe they let you, it wouldn't be profiteable for buisness, I think you can return the game and get like half the price back(in cash), I can atleast where I live.

You must be talking about Tesco, they won't refund the game, even if you say it doesn't work, they just say it isn't in their policy to give refunds. I guess they haven't caught on to the idea that PC games are not Console games, and PC games must require special PC. Thats why I buying HL2 from Game because they have the best policies.

its true,I bought Syndicate wars in EB (before they where game) and after i realised that all the missions where the same I tried to take it back. They said no-way!.

In PC world they told me when I bought Half-life, you know we can't accept opened games back.

It Gets less funny now!!

Yeah the game 10 day return thing is very good as i am now currently enjoying UT 2003, however i am at colege using the Computers here looking for tickets to Download Festival at donignton park (UK) in June and whilst here i went to amazon.co.uk to look at Armed and dangerous release dates, and i thought i wonder what HL" is (propably TBC) From this point on, imagine a grown 21 year old man crying like a baby, i understand that ViVendi state TBC and i am not trying to ruin anyoines day but They state that you can pre order HL" and receive on release date which is, wait for it..... You can also buy Doom3 as a dual package deal, and the release date for that is December 1st 2004, so half life is something similar

ready for this, Novmber 12th 2004, :flame: this was not even remotely funny and i wish they would just print TBC as november is ridiculous, although it does state that release dates are subject to change, but its not usually earlier than stated!!!!! :angry:

I understand a need to give peaple an idea of a release date but not to make us upset and angry.
