Hi! Can my specs play half-life 2 good?

I just noticed that half-life 2 is a really must-have game so I decided to try it out but I don't know if it would work good or not. So if you can, can you guys guess what settings a may get on these specs.

Sempron 3100+
512 mb ram
and an ATI radeon x550

Should be able to play it fairly well.

I think you could run it on High, with no problems. I can run mine on high with a AMD 2500 and a Geforce FX 5950 with 512 3200 ram.

No, min specs for LC are an x800/6800, a gig of ram, and a 3 ghz procc. That's MINIMUM.

I don't think you can play with a card lower do to the features of those...not sure though...but if not almost anyone can play...it would just eat there system alive...i think youd have more fun eating off your own arm.

well i could possibly play it just need to get anothor stick of 512 and i can run it in low which is ps2.0

1. Theres a DEMO, try it and see if u can run it? thats not hard is it?
2. Read the specs on the retail BOX and it will let u know if u can play it.
3. Read one of the THREADS on this site, there is like over 10 of em if you use the SEARCH button.

I would think so, although as we all know HL2 is very CPU intensive. I guess it's a waiting game for confirmed min. specs or the release!
