Hit Detection?

so what do we know, if anything about the hit detection in cs:source? I assume they got rid of the uber crap hit boxes and have gone for per pixel hit detection. but that word "port" keeping coming back and have me worried about whether or not i have to continue to deal with bullets not regestering cos "i shot someone from the side."
 
I don't think it's per pixel hit detection. I know Doom3 uses it but last I heard HL2 doesn't, so presumably CS:S doesn't either.
 
It's basically a more complicated set of hitboxes this time, so that the body is covered more accurately, with less overlap. I think they mentioned using an oval or circle for heads now, as well.
