I wish they they would use high resolution texutres in the HL:Source release but I haven't seen any dev posts indicating that this will be the case; just lighting and physics added as far as I know.

I'm quite sure the game's textures will be comparable to any of the latest FPS games. Like I've said before, they will overhaul all of it, not just some of it. The game design will remain the same however.
