HL2 and TF2?

Has anyone noticed that there has been no mention of TF2 in the HL2 packages?

They mention CS:S and DOD:S but not TF2. I don't think they will release it as a standalone -- unless it has an indepth single player, like BF1942 -- so how is it going to be released?

TF2 will be standalone, there is no news about it, but wait till after HL2 then there should be..insane amount of news about it..

I thought Valve already said ages ago that TF2 would be a standalone?

Valve said they'd talk about TF2 after HL2 is released. So I'd expect something between HL2 release and E3 2005.

Thats ages ago so it doesn't really count anymore .
But I think you will be able to buy it on steam as upgrade or standalone packages and in retail as standalone game.
And probebly the same is true for cs2.

Some stores report a Q1 2005 date, but ofcourse thats probebly just a guessed date.

if you are waiting for tf2 to be the secret mp you are kidding yourself. they have stated again and again that cs:s is the official mp compnent.
its too close to release to play little games, if tf2 was included they would tell us. plus, i dont expect tf2 for at least 6 months/1 year after hl2
