HL2 available on steam.. nov16th at what time?

Ok.. So we all know that HL2 will be out Nov 16th. People who have already pre-ordered via steam will get to play it nov 16th. What I want to know is WHAT TIME?!?!? I know for halo2 my store (EB Games) is doing a mid-night launch. The second it turns nov 9th we start selling. So if its the same deal with hl2 midnight in what time zone? I live in NY will I get to play hl2 3 hours earlier then those in CA?

I can't see any reason why it wouldn't become playable at midnight on Steam. The only question is midnight in what time zone?

Knowing my crummy luck, it'll be midnight Pacific time so I'll have to wait until 3 AM to start playing.

Well I live in Bellevue and I'm going to march right into the VALVe HQ and ask them. Most likely I'll come back with an answer like, "Well in the past some games have been released based on our time zone (PST) and then again some haven't been done like that." Meaning the person answering would answer without actually answering my question.

a lot like the CS:S Beta and what not release, it will all be dependant on the time at ValvE. I should say they release it at 12am..on the 16th THEIR time. Which means that i get it 8am...UK time now, i think i could get up that early to play tbh!

well, i just took the eastern time (US) and started counting. This would acually make the game available in sweden around 5 pm nov 15 (on steam). I'm very tired now, b/c its 5 am here now so i dont know if im thinking right :afro:
