HL2/CSS servers

Well i am new to this board so dont shoot me down if i am doing anything wrong. I have a small problem i hava SMC router and i want to to a CSS server but it does not work, i have tried to forward some ports but i dont know if i am doing it correctly. When i go to NAT settings there are few places to fill in. one is Private IP. the other one is Private Port and then you have to choose between TCP or UDP and then Public Port
It would be very nice if anyone could help.

Your private IP is the one assigned to your computer. If you're not sure what it is, go "Start > Run > Command" and type "ipconfig". The public port is the one you'd want forwarded (27015 for most servers), though I'm not sure what the private port option is for. I'd guess make that the same as the public..

And I'm guessing that only the TCP protocol is required.

Games are usually UDP. I, however, am not 100% sure about HL/CS. That would be my assumption, though.
