Here's my theory. Since just about everyone has been releasing new fps games, is it unthinkable that, for one reason or another, they would delay the best games (Doom 3, HL2) JUST so the not-so-advanced games (UT2004, [insert name of that game I can't think of here]) would not get drowned out?

Also, if this is the deal, is it nessesary a bad thing (annoying without a doubt)? If games continually got drowned out as they !might! in my example, when UT04 herd of Counter-Strike: Source, they would be forced to either cancel the game, or get their arse handed to em, both of which would result in huge finical losses, possiably reducing the quality of future games, if not killing the company or resulting in a monopoly by the victor.

I think I think too much.

:hmph: Just a side note. In City 17 I haven't seen ANY children at all, hardly any women... it is mostly men that I see :dozey:

We've seen 5 women so far, and 2 of them were major characters.

In addition to Alyx and Judith, one was a resistance fighter, and two were getting picked on by the combine.

Does that include the lady that says "Were you the only ones on that train?!"

K, sorry, posted this just before I went to work yesterday. I'm back now, and I do want to respond to my own thread... it's a bit of a bump but o well :O

About the children, there are some laws in some countries forbidding the killing of children in video games. They might have opted to not put any in the game so that you won't have the option to kill them. (This, as opposed to making a special version with no children)

Don't ask about details on what countries or what-not, it's just the reason that I beleive Arcanum (Anyone play that?) didn't have any children in it, allthough it could be quite a bit more difficult to strip a RP game of it's children, espically if they have any valid point in any quest, than a fps game.

I read it on some website somewhere out there in the vast voids of the internet. Forgive if it's incorrect.

Epic had no concerns about UT2k4 selling. It has sold very well.. and will continue to do so.
