hey ppl, call me a n00b if you want but can you tell me how to get hl2 working in offline mode, does steam have to work in offline mode? just everytime i wanna play hl2 i have to go online thats all

Ensure u clicked rember password when first running
After first install - RClick steam icon > play games > browse > register product
after about a day, the next time u logon u get a "product registered message"
RClick steam icon > Play games > click properties for HL2 and if it indicates ready to play offline then select "no automatic updates" this will ensure that ofline will work forever.
Clicking "no automatic updates" will stop you from downloading patches.
