HL2 overrated

Halflife 2 gets 98%.

games are rated only on graphics but not storyline which means HL2 gets away without having much in the way of an actual story and still gets 98%. But if HL2 didn't have good graphics would it still be all that appealing?

The Half-Life series has a story which many people fine engaging and interesting. It is, however, still an FPS and not an RPG, thusly Story always takes a backseat to Action and Graphics. This is the nature of an FPS. I somehow doubt that anyone plays HL games for their story alone. Infact, I'm sure Story isnt a primary concern for many FPS players.

Also, I still play HL1 Mods much more than HL2 right now. And I probably will for a long time... because their good games (Counter-Strike, Natural Selection, BrainBread, PoV, Sven Co-Op). So no one can try to say I only like games for their graphics.
Hell, I still like to play NES games and old 486-level-of-gfx games.

most games are overhyped....cept this one wasn't drivin by the company making it (not even VUG pumped out that much publicity).

FPS shooters aren't that long btw. It's a pretty avg length for FPS'ers
