Wow, sorry got side tracked there playing de_prodigy on CS, nice work! I'll get round to testing HL2 soon but from reading the above there is no mention of a sound stutter fix :rolling:

True. This seemed to be primarily a Counter-Strike: Source update, along with some Steam changes.

it would be good except that since the update, I can't play it I get an error message along the lines of, "the memory at (whatever) could not be read."

If you know what chapter you where at I can't exactly remember the command but try.

typing "find chapters" in the console then with the command it gives you type "commandchapter_unlock 14" And it will unlock all of the chapters for you.

You mean Half-Life 2 single player saves? I applied the update and it did not affect them at all as near as I can tell.
