Hosting Counter-strike: source match?

When ever I try to start a match in counter-strike: source and invite my friend it never lets him join.

It says stuff like server not responding

It does the same thing when he tries to host a match


can anyone help?

First, you need to forward the appropriate ports. Google search "counter strike source port forwarding" to find a guide.

Also, once in, you need to type "sv_lan 0" in the console

Also make sure you're not giving him your internal IP address (e.g. 192.168.0.1:27015 or similar)

Yea just type in "what is my IP" in google and it should give you the IP you need
