How do I change weapon icons for the ingame weapon selection?

I looked there, theres no tutorial for this on that list. I remodeled the crowbar to be a baseball bat but it looks odd to see the crowbar icon when you want to select the baseball bat, so I would like to change this.

There's a tff font file in the resource folder called halflife2. It has the pictures of the weapons as a font. I never edited it, but I think you can do it with some font editor.
