how do I view the models for a hl1/hl2 mod?

and how do I listen to all the sounds (talking specifically, I want to hear the zombie noises in the first they hunger) in a hl1/hl2 mod?

Well this may sound in your face but, you download the source sdk (through steam), install it and then launch the program. there you'll find the button asking you to view models, simplely click on it and then hunt down a model you want to view.

Now thats for HL2 thought, there one for HL1 and I believe it's called "Jad's model viewer" not 100% on that...

Now for sounds, just download gcfscape and simpley look through the .gcf or .pak files for sounds and you'll be set

Works the same for other mods, if the mod doesn't have that crap Dystopia has that they told you to change, just use the HL2 ones.

then after that is set up, go into the sdk, the mod should be there like you set it up to be and then go into model viewer and you can view them.

I've done it a number of times myself and it works.
