How long will HL2 be in post production?

A quick search brought me no results.

How quickly do you think that Vivendi could have the game out once Valve handed it over? My thinking is that they'd probably do their best to get it out as soon as possible (as that would seem profitable for all parties invovled). So my question is, how fast to believe that could be?

Maybe examples of the timeline between other games going gold and the actually tearing open of the box might be a decent example. Perhaps even other Vivendi published games?

most estimations i have heard go along the lines of.

Gold
Mass production
2-3 weeks store from gold to store shelves

HL2 could be shorter, could be longer, just gotta wait and see.

Doom 3 went gold July 14th, released August 3rd.

Far Cry went gold March the 9th, released March 26th.

UT2004 went gold around March 4th, released March 15th.

If Vivendi take significantly longer than the above games to get it released i'm going to crack a nuclear hissy fit. The earth will shake from the whinging and whining of Fusion.

seen lost of official posts that were short cause they were busy...

2-3 weeks. Thats what i think.
